Debtors Anonymous is a fellowship for people recovering from compulsive debting, using the twelve steps to build a sound relationship with money. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop incurring unsecured debt.

Are DA meetings free and anonymous?
Yes. DA meetings are free to attend — no dues, fees, referral, or insurance needed — and anonymity is a core principle, so you can come as you are. Anyone who wants help is welcome.
Can I attend DA meetings online?
Many DA groups meet online as well as in person. The official DA finder lists current online meetings.
Is Debtors Anonymous only for people with large debts?
No — DA is about compulsive debting and patterns around money, not a particular dollar amount. Overspending, borrowing, or avoidance can all bring people in. It's peer support, not legal, tax, or financial advice.
Do I have to be religious to join DA?
No. DA welcomes people of any religion or none. The program is usually described as spiritual rather than religious, and many areas offer secular, agnostic, or non-religious meetings.
